Mission Health, based in Asheville, NC, is the state's sixth-largest health system, with a team of more than 6,000 caring for patients over 11,000 square miles. Our physician group practice encompasses more than 120 dedicated physicians in 25+ specialties. The system's flagship Mission Hospital is licensed for 730 beds on two adjoining campuses. A Level II Trauma Center, it serves as the tertiary care regional referral center for Western North Carolina. Mission Health also includes Blue Ridge Regional Hospital, which serves Mitchell and Yancey counties; McDowell Hospital, which serves McDowell County; Mission Children's Hospital, providing specialty pediatric inpatient and outpatient care from two locations in Asheville; and Transylvania Hospital, a nationally ranked Five-Star Hospital serving Brevard, NC and surrounding areas.
